Lincoln Tech in East Windsor, CTis looking for a Dining Services Assistant to support the Dining Area and Chefs in a variety of functions.
This position would involve you interacting with students and other guests at the campus.
Grill Cook/Café Worker
Motivated for success and ability to take initiative in a small operation.
Previous experience in a fast-paced team environment preferred.
Responsibilities
The cook will prepare meals and follow established recipes.
Understanding the various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, sanitation, and procedures.
Setting up, cleaning, sanitizing, and organizing workstation
Prepping for shift
Preparing orders in a timely manner
Cooking orders according to food health and safety standards
Handling multiple food orders at one time
Monitoring multiple orders as new orders arrive
Storing all food properly
Cook, Clean assist other cooks and staff in daily operations.
Work will include operating a grill, oven & fryer.
Requirements:
Skills & Experience
Reliable, dependable, and mature
Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently.
High school diploma or GED
Physical endurance to stand for entire shift and move with a sense of urgency.
Able to lift to 40 pounds.
Self-motivated and self-directed
Works well as part of a team and on individual tasks
Able to quickly memorize complex or multiple orders.
Early morning person, outgoing and a true people person a must.
Communicate effectively with team members, staff, faculty and students.
ServSafe certified preferred.
