Silo Ridge Field Club is seeking a Comfort Station Cook to join the Food and Beverage Culinary Department.
This is anticipated to be a Seasonal Full Time position from April 2024 – November 2024.
The Comfort Station Cook will play a vital, supporting role on the culinary team by assisting with food preparation, deliveries, and kitchen cleanliness.
The Comfort Station Cook will work with a range of ingredients and cooking styles, so a diverse knowledge and passion for food is encouraged.
The Comfort Station Cook will work with all members of the culinary team in the creation of unique and fun dining experiences.
In this role, you will be part of creating the Discovery Land Company experience for our members and fellow employees.
Key Responsibilities Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen throughout the day with light housekeeping tasks such as sweeping, cleaning counters, and garbage disposal.
Responsible for the quality of all food items prepared in the kitchen and ensures standard recipes are being followed on a consistent basis.
Assists with preparations of items to include but not limited to chopping vegetables, butchering meat, and preparing sauces.
Ensuring all dishes and prepped items are uniform made to specifications set out by the Executive Chef.
Demonstrate sense of urgency for responding to guest needs during all interactions.
Daily stocking and re-stocking of all kitchen items as needed throughout the day with raw materials and ingredients.
Ensure all government, safety, health, and security standards are complied through the department at all times including HACCP standards.
Monitor expiration of perishable items.
Assures spoiled or damaged serving utensils are not used.
Watch particularly for cracked or chipped china, glassware.
Prevent the use of contaminated products in any phase of food preparation.

Assist with inventory counts as requested.
Maintain all equipment to ensure it is properly maintained and handled.
Reports any safety or maintenance concerns promptly to the Culinary Management Team.
Ensure daily opening and closing responsibilities are completed accuratly and consistent with the departments SOP.
Attends department meetings and trainings as necessary.
Any other duties as assigned.
Qualifications • High School diploma, GED or equivalent vocational training with job-related courses.
• Minimum 1 year line/prep cook experience in fine dining restaurant/luxury resort/private club.
• Ability to chop, prepare, or cook food items and a familiarity with a range of cooking techniques.
• Understand and abide by all federal, state, and local food safety and sanitation regulations, including state required food handler certificates.
Additional Requirements • Must be able to work flexible work hours/schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Long hours may be required due to business demands.
• Positive attitude, professional demeanor, and exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to deliver service to members, guests, and team members.
• Ability to work in a team environment.
• Ability to stay calm and focused during the busiest of times.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English; additional languages preferred.
• Ability to meet the physical demands of the position including, but not limited to, working indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions, standing, walking, and moving for periods of greater than eight (8) hours, and lifting and carrying items sometimes greater than fifty (50) pounds.
Benefits Wage Range: $19.
55/hour – $23.
