Your Role: Execute the preventative maintenance program for the mechanical and electromechanical equipment.
Installing, troubleshooting, cleaning, inspecting and maintaining the mechanical equipment throughout the facility in a safe and professional manner.
Initiates and completes work-orders.
Documents all critical information on a routine basis.
Respond and report to work during off hours when emergency repairs are required.
Diagnose equipment problems and repairs.
Perform maintenance tasks such as inspecting, lubricating equipment, identifying and replacing worn parts, track conveyor belts, replace motors, bearings, chains.
Operate other equipment such as industrial forklifts, manlifts, skid steer type loaders, and other mobile equipment.
Work with team members to learn the equipment operation and assist with making repairs and build troubleshooting skills.
Follow OSHA and other regulations and procedures.
Other duties may be assigned as needed with or without accommodation.
Your Skills: Able to identify and properly use hand and power tools.
Be able to learn to safely operate shop powered equipment.
Knowledge of electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic systems/schematics.
Experience working with relevant large machinery.
Ability and aptitude to trouble and diagnose equipment issues.
Self-starter who can work in a fast paced/everchanging environment both individually and alongside a team.
Have electrical knowledge to be able to determine if a circuit is shorted or open, or if a fuse is bad, how to wire motors of different phases, locate motor controls in a panel and determine if breaker or overload is tripped and other issues.
Possess basic fabrication skills to be able to drill and tap, cut various materials and join them together, make simple parts such as a bracket or a guard rail for a conveyor.
Requirements: High School Diploma or Equivalent and trade school diploma/certificate or an associate degree in related field is required.
Three or more years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination and experience.
Ability to read machine prints/schematics, both mechanical and electrical, as well as technical and machine manuals Must have manual dexterity to use hand and power tools correctly and safely.
Ability to work an 8-12-hour shift.
Ability to work overtime and occasional weekend work.
Good planning and organizational skills.
