Position Summary:
The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, cleaning, inspecting, and maintaining diesel and natural gas-powered trucks.
Your Role:
Troubleshooting heavy equipment.
Welding
Take an active role in improving safety and health in the workplace.
Participate in all required Company meetings, including weekly safety meetings.
Maintains reasonable, regular, punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), Family Medical Leave Act (FMLA), and other federal, state, and local standards.
Adapts to changing duties, as required, based on business needs.
Your Skills:
Ability to use various vehicle maintenance tools such as hand tools, electric tools, pneumatic tools, jacking equipment, safety stands, and electronic testing equipment.
Ability to receive, understand, and follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to read and understand parts of service manuals.
Ability to prepare legible and understandable work orders and schedule completion sheets.
Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or Equivalent
Driver's License
Must supply own tools
ASE Certification
Demonstrated mechanical skills.
Must supply own tools.
2-5 years experience in a transport environment
Gritty, outgoing, and eager to learn.
