Provide technical and analytical support for Engine & Control Systems/Environmental and Airframe Control Systems products from preliminary design phase through detailed design, testing & validation, production, and operational services.
Eligible for relocation.
Primary Responsibilities: Perform structural analysis of conventional & additively manufactured complex aerospace components including static, dynamic, thermal (steady state & transient), fatigue life, fracture mechanics (residual life) predictions and damage tolerance analyses.
Provide documentation of analyses results and recommendations in the form of formal reports and presentations for management and customers.
Assist in creating test plans and support validation and verification testing of components for thermal and dynamic performance and behavior.
Use this information to calibrate and improve the analytical methods.
Participate in cross-discipline integrated product team as structures focal to provide design recommendations and solutions to develop products that meet technical, weight and cost targets.
Continuously pursue ways to develop, improve, and validate analytical methods and processes to improve productivity and cost effectiveness.
Qualifications/ Experience Needed: Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) unless prohibited by local laws/regulations and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 9 years of relevant experience The ability to obtain and maintain a U.
