_*DELAMAR-Luxury Boutique Hotel in West Hartford, CT, *_is looking for a Front Desk Agent responsible for providing exceptional customer service.
The front desk agent is accountable for processing check-ins/outs and assisting guests with reservations and requests in a friendly, professional, and timely manner while following the highest standards of quality to ensure guest satisfaction.
*ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:*
* Accountable for processing check-ins and check-outs
* Creates reservations and processes special requests.
* Assists guests by knowing hotel property, local attractions, and hours of operation of hotel outlets and services.
* Works as a team player in meeting guests' needs
* Provides gracious and efficient telephone services
* Responds to incoming calls and emails promptly and knowledgeably, ensuring accurate information
* Completes all items on the checklist
* Communicates the services and amenities of the hotel to guests
* Prepares room keys for incoming guests
* Accepts and provides wake-up calls for guests
* Collaborates effectively with other service departments to effectively manage guest services
* Listen, apologize with empathy, find a solution, and follow through when resolving guest problems
* Processes customer credit at check-in/out in accordance with hotel policy
*REQUIREMENTS*
* Strong customer service and organizational skills
* Team player
* Must be fluent in English and have a good phone voice
* Willing to go the extra step to ensure guest satisfaction
* Excellent computer skills
* Knowledge of Opera is strongly preferred
* Previous hospitality experience required
