West Hartford Public Schools seeks to fill a position for a full-time 8th grade math teacher at Sedgwick Middle School for the 2023-2024 school year.
Job Details:
This position’s schedule has one section of Mathematics 8, two sections of Honors Algebra I, and one section of Developmental Mathematics Level 3.
Department and district emphasis on student-centered learning practices.
Includes daily opportunities to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team of teachers and regular opportunities to collaborate with math colleagues, math coaches, and the department supervisor.
Utilizes a variety of curricular resources and instructional tools (i.
e.
IXL, iReady, TransMath).
Weekly professional development opportunities as well as varied opportunities for teacher leadership.
Requirement: Valid CT Certification (029, 229).
