This utensil/serving set may appear to be stainless steel in some of the photos, BUT IT IS NOT.
Photos were added to capture the more accurate appearance of brass.
The set has been in storage for many years and has not been polished.
THIS UTENSIL SET IS BEING SOLD FOR DECORATION AND DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY.
(For an abundance of caution, this would be the most sensible use.
) Polishing would be optional.
There may (or may not) be a food-grade polish suitable for such utensils.
(Sterling silver utensils, requiring occasional polishing, are often used for dining applications.
) Washing with hot water, a mild dishwashing detergent, and drying with a soft dish towel after polishing might (or might not) be appropriate for this application.
However, I do not know the answer to this conundrum.
This vintage utensil set, originating in Thailand, was brought here as a souvenir by a USAF Vietnam War veteran (circa 1968-1970).
