MAJOR PURPOSE: Repairs and maintains the facility's equipment and buildings.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS:
Makes repairs on facility equipment and buildings.
Performs specialized tasks including plumbing, painting, electrical, carpentry, vinyl application, studding, sheetrock, taping, sanding, and all repairs required inside and outside of the facility.
Maintains the necessary logs and forms and records required information.
Performs building construction as directed by supervisor.
Utilizes safety items such as gloves, glasses, etc.
Completes all tasks as assigned by supervisor.
Builds various structures for the use of the residents, i.
e.
, benches, flower boxes, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferably a high school graduate or equivalent.
At least two years' experience utilizing various hand tools and general engineering equipment.
At least two years of experience working with electrical, heating, plumbing, boilers, and air conditioning systems.
Must be able to use ladders, staging, or scaffolding devices as part of a normal work routine.
Available for emergency work and on-call as needed.
