CNC LATHE SET-UP & OPERATION POSITION
We are currently seeking an experienced CNC Lathe Setup Technician to assist in the setup and programming of multi-axis CNC lathes or Swiss-style machines.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CNC lathe operations and be capable of setting up machines to produce precision metal components according to specifications.
Responsibilities:
Set up CNC lathes to produce precision metal components.
Program machines according to technical drawings, blueprints, and specifications.
Select the appropriate tools and fixtures for each job.
Perform test runs to verify the accuracy of machine setups.
Monitor machine operations and make adjustments and offsets as necessary to maintain quality and efficiency.
Troubleshoot issues that arise during production and make adjustments as needed.
Perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
Follow safety protocols and maintain a clean work environment.
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent.
3+ years of experience in CNC lathe setup and operation.
Proficiency in reading and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints.
Strong understanding of machining principles and techniques.
Ability to set up and program CNC lathe machines independently.
Attention to detail and precision.
Good communication skills.
Experience with CAD/CAM software is a plus.
