Circa 1823 Arrow-back WINDSOR Side Chair by "W Bowen" of Bowenton, or Roadstown NJ (according to "The Windsor Style in America" by Charles Santore.
) A super rare chair with bold stamp on the seat underside "W BOWEN" (William?) of New Jersey.
Chair is nice and sturdy and has a rich old reddish stained surface.
All parts are original to the chair! Chair is about 33 5/8" tall, with 17.
25" seat height, by about 15.
5" deep, by about 15.
75" seat width, by about 19.
25" wide at the top of the finials.
Seat appears to be pine, but could also be poplar.
